Handling Accidents!

Ok, let's clear this up....there WILL be accidents so just plan on it right now.  (BIG Smile) Accidents are an important part of the learning process.  It is learning what it feels like to stand in pee, to wet your cool underpants, and the yucky smell. I really go into detail in the Manual and on video on this subject because it is so important we don't over-react and cause more damage to their little hearts.   But here is the basic thing to say, "Uh-oh, you did not keep your underpants dry...feel how yucky that feels. "  Then have them take off the underpants and have them sit on the potty chair. The key is to be disappointed but not angry.   I go into more detail in the video, but remember potty training can be very frustrating and stressful. Hang in there, I promise to help you with this in the program.    Be watching for the number one question I get from ALL parents... "What about poop-training?"  How do you tackle that deed? It is important you read every stinking word that is coming in the next article. (Pun definitely intended)
