How You Can Be My Friend

Let's be honest...some people are easier and more fun to be in a relationship or do business with than others. I have realized that there is one type of person that I LOVE working with regardless of their personality! If you have the wonderful ability to be authentic with me, I am sure we can be friends. Very few people are truly authentic because they are too busy trying to please everyone around them.

There is something about someone who is themselves when they are at work AND at home. BUT more importantly...I PRAY you are the same in the social media world as you are in your real world. It is too easy these days to put up a front that you have it all together. Why try and portray a life that is nothing close to WHO you are. BE YOU!

If you tried to wear my clothes for a day you wouldn't look very good nor would they look good on you.  That is because they are mine. =)  Wear your own clothes...they fit you perfectly and you wear them well. So why try and be someone you aren't?  Why try and act like someone else? BE YOU...it looks good on you!

I have lots of great things that I love about myself, but then I also have those things that drive my family crazy. I am me... if you stick around long enough you will find out more things about me that drive YOU crazy...but that is ok too.

Be authentic! BE YOU!

How to Capture Fun Family Stories

Everyone loves a great story! We are intrigued with them whether they are true or false. Storytelling has been around for centuries. Primitive hunters would go out and hunt and come back and recall their hunting stories to their sons. (Maybe with a bit of exaggeration!) Cavemen would sit or squat around a flickering fire and tell stories. It is a lost art.

Our children love to be told stories of when they were born, how we as adults grew up and what we were like at their age. They like hearing about the silly stuff they did as a baby and the funny things they have done. Perhaps when your child goes to bed at night you can not only read books, but also tell those stories. Let their imagination get some exercise, engage them in fun communication and playful talk. Let your little one try and tell a story or recall a favorite family vacation. We need to do everything we can to parent our kids in creative ways and bond the family unite again.

BIG TIP: Keep a spiral bound notebook or journal in the family room or kitchen so you can quickly jot down the funny things that your child says or the outrageous things that happen in your family. Imagine years of pages recounting memories that you otherwise would have forgotten. Use the journal a lot, allow your older kids to jot stuff in it, and bring it out often.

Good luck with your family storytelling... I hope this helps support your family.

Lose the Fat…2 simple ideas…

Having 4 babies was no easy task, but staying fit and keeping the weight off with each one was probably harder then the actual births! LOL

It is tough to make time to work out as busy parents, but nothing will ever replace the good old power of sweating!

Here are two tips that are a small drop in the bucket to what we all should be doing. But if we can consume less calories by making this small step in what we chose, it just might help.

Maybe if we skip the candy bar, cookies and brownies and try this 25 calories sweet treat...it might help too.
